As a society, we spend so much time talking about mental illness, yet rarely talk about what good mental health actually looks like. For me, therapy is about helping clients experience the full range of human emotion, while building the tools and confidence to navigate life’s ups and downs. Success isn’t about never feeling sad, anxious, or uncertain—it’s about feeling equipped to move through those moments with self-compassion and resilience.
Why Choose Kiwi Counselling?
With so many different therapists out there, it’s a fair question.
I started this practice with a belief that our stories connect us, and that notion sits at the core the work I do here.
Like many people, therapy wasn’t something I thought much about until I really needed it myself. As a young adult, I struggled deeply with my mental health. I felt overwhelmed and alone, and I was so scared to admit that I needed help. But looking back, it’s the moment that started me on this path.
Working with a therapist completely changed my life. It was the first time I felt truly seen by another person. Finally, someone could sit with me through the hard stuff without making me feel like something was wrong with me. That experience helped me find my voice, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it.
Becoming a therapist changed my life too. The most rewarding part of this work is the people I get to meet. It's incredibly moving to witness someone grow into who they've always wanted to be, or simply breathe a little easier in their own skin. I'm constantly inspired by the people who sit across from me, and that’s what keeps me coming back day after day.
Here’s what I offer you:
I’ll be honest. I’ll see your strengths. I won’t shy away from the difficult questions. I’ll sit with you through the hard stuff, and I’ll always encourage you to have an active voice in the therapeutic process.
